As an organizer you will get experience in event planning and managing, in addition to getting to know some of your fellow PhD students through fun tasks in a relaxed setting. You can engage yourself in the work on different levels depending on the time you have available.
​
Meetings are held once a month - and everybody are welcome. The meetings are conducted in an informal yet constructive atmosphere, which usually includes food and a beer or two! If you have matters you would like to discuss, please let us know in advance, so we can include it in our agenda. The meetings will generally revolve around the PhD Thursdays and introduction dinners, as well as preparing for the annual PhD day – and other potential themes.

The PhD Network is an initiative to promote networking and career counselling for the BIO PhD students.
​
As a PhD student, you have an opportunity - through the PhD network, BioNet - to meet other fellow students, with a large array of backgrounds and knowledge, which might become valuable for you now or in the future.
BioNet hosts “PhD Thursdays” four times a year, which is an opportunity to socialise with your fellow PhD students in an informal atmosphere. We strive to make these evenings fun and relaxed, and there will be drinks, food and usually some entertainment.
Furthermore, BioNet hosts introduction dinners for newly started PhD students every third months, to introduce new PhD students to the network and social life at BIO.

The purpose of BioNet -PhD network is to:
1. Facilitate networking between PhD students across the sections within BIO and the add to the social environment for BIO PhD students. This will take form in introduction evenings and “PhD Thursdays” which will include food and drinks and sometimes various activities such as trips, company visits and seminars.
2. Create a forum that takes care of the interests of the PhD students at BIO.
